In 2000, PerTronix entered the Exhaust business by acquiring the company when Ermie decided to retire.  PerTronix knowledge of the Performance Industry, combined with Employees with extensive backgrounds in the exhaust business made this seeminly unlikely pairing a well-matched addition.
