From 2nd to 6th October, we will gather at Vishuddhi Alaya, a serene retreat space nestled near the sacred site of Namo Buddha. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, this tranquil setting offers the perfect environment to reconnect with yourself and step away from the demands of daily life.

 

Each day will flow with heart-opening yoga, restorative yin, and immersive sound healing sessions designed to calm the nervous system and guide you into deep rest. We will also enjoy mindfulness walks, Ayurvedic massages, and nourishing vegetarian meals prepared with organic, homegrown produce.

 

Vishuddhi Alaya is more than a venue — it is a peaceful sanctuary where the beauty of nature meets the depth of spiritual practice. This is a space to breathe, reflect, and return home to yourself.

Meet Danielle - The retreat Instructor

Sound Healing during yoga

Meet Danielle, an experienced and devoted yoga teacher with over 14 years of teaching experience and the co-founder of pranaapana. Her journey into the world of yoga started at a young age, when she discovered a book on meditation that sparked her interest in spirituality. After practicing for years, she became a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher in 2008 and moved to Cyprus for 7 years to share her newfound knowledge and currently lives in Dubai.

Danielle has over 750 hours of YTT certification and specializes in creative sequencing, sound healing, and calming energy. She uses yoga to help students work through injuries, stress, and anxiety and to bring about a sense of peace and wellness in their lifestyles. Danielle is also a certified sound healing teacher, having learned this beautiful therapy in India and Nepal.

As a Lead Instructor in Yoga Studios in Dubai, she teaches retreats, workshops, teacher trainings, and private sessions, sharing her knowledge with love and gratitude. She is the founding member of Prana Apana where she focuses on retreats, group and private classes. She has conducted successful retreats in Cyprus, Sri Lanka and Bali in 2023/ 2024.

Arrive & Ground

  • Pick-up from Kathmandu Private Transfers from the Airport or any Hotel in Kathmandu
  • 2:00 PM: Check-in. Settle into your room, soak in the peaceful surroundings, enjoy a nourishing welcome drink arriving into retreat space.
  • FREETIME: Explore/ Rest/ Massage
  • 5:00 PM: Yin yoga and sound healing. A gentle evening of deep rest and relaxation. This grounding practice will help release travel fatigue and ease your body and mind into the rhythm of retreat.
  • 6:00PM: Opening Circle & Intention Setting. We gather in community to connect, share intentions, and create a sacred container for the days ahead.

Day 2
Vibrations of Healing

  • 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Pranayama & Awakening Flow Yoga. Flow with the breath in a morning class designed to activate your energy channels and awaken clarity.

  • 1:00 PM: Lunch
  • 2:30 PM: Sound Healing Workshop. Discover the ancient wisdom of sound as a tool for healing. Learn how vibration impacts our energy, emotions, and the nervous system.
  • 5:30 PM: Restorative Yoga & Sound Journey. Soft movement, long-held postures, and a deeply immersive sound bath for nervous system reset.
  • 7:00 PM: Dinner

Day 3
Silence & Stillness

  • 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Pranayama & Vinyasa Flow. Find inner rhythm and calm through mindful movement and the breath.
  • 9:00 AM: Breakfast
  • 10:30 AM: Excursion to Bhaktapur Heritage City. Wander through ancient temples, cobbled streets, and local markets in this UNESCO heritage city rich with history and beauty.
  • 1:00 PM: Lunch. We will have lunch in Bhaktapur followed by an opportunity to shop for traditional handicrafts on the grounds of Bhaktapur.
  • 5:30 PM: Reiki-Infused Yin & Sound Bath. A nurturing session infused with Reiki energey, gentle yin postured and sound frequencies to bring deep healing and alignment.
  • 7:00 PM: Dinner

Sun, 5th Oct
Day 4
Temple Trails & Inner Light

  • 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Hatha Yoga & Breathwork for Balance. A centering morning of traditional postures and mindful breath to create space within.
  • 9:00 AM : Breakfast

  • 10:30 AM: Mindful Walking Meditation. Connect with the elements as we walk in silence through nature, guided by awareness of each step and breath.

  • 11:30 AM: Visit to Namo Buddha Monastery. A spiritual excursion to one of Nepal’s most sacred sites – a place of peace, compassion, and pilgrimage.

  • 1:30 PM: Lunch

  • 5:30 PM: Closing Cacao Ceremony & Sound Healing. We gather in sacred circle to sip heart-opening cacao, reflect, and integrate through sound – a soulful goodbye to a powerful few days.

  • 7:30 PM: Dinner

Mon, 6th Oct
Day 5
Departing in Wholeness

  • 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM: Pranayama and Vinayasa Yoga & Flow. A soulful flow to seal the experience and carry the energy of the retreat back with you.
  • 9:00AM : Breakfast 

  • 12:00 PM: Checkout. Transfer back to the Airport or to Kathmandu to align with your travel plans.

What style of yoga will we be practicing?

Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, our retreat offers a diverse range of styles, including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative, ensuring that everyone can participate and benefit from the sessions..

 

In addition to the diverse range of yoga styles we will also offer sound healing, which promotes relaxation and healing at a deep level, yogic breathing techniques that cultivate balance and harmony within, mindfulness skills through guided meditation, allowing you to find stillness and clarity in the present moment

How many meals do I get, what is included?

The meals included are on a Full Board basis which will include a Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.(Drinks are not included and will be an extra charge).

Are there any rules to follow on the retreat?

 

Punctuality to Yoga Classes
Phones are to be kept on silent and away from the mat during Yoga
To keep noise to a minimum especially before and after yoga
To wear suitable clothing for yoga classes
To respect the hotel staff and everyone on the retreat

Do I need a Visa for Nepal?

  • Visa on Arrival is available for most nationalities

How far is the taxi ride to Vishuddhi Alaya from the airport?

The taxi ride is approximately 90 minutes but may take a little longer depending on the time of day and traffic.
